We believe that those born with, or those who acquire intellectual or developmental al disabilities are to be highly valued and protected. The CedarBrook AfterStars and SummerStars programs have offered support and care for school-age children for many years.  Our dedicated team has always enjoyed communicating God’s love to these beautiful young people.  

We faced two major changes in 2025: 

1. Our AfterStars after school enrollment dropped well below our sustainable number of students. 
2. There is a tremendous interest from parents in our SummerStars program. Unfortunately, after recruiting for months at 3 area churches as well as the Future Post Secondary Education program at U.T., we only had 2 full-time summer staff commitments besides our Directors.  

A Difficult Decision

After much prayer and discussion, our leadership team made the decision to conclude the CedarBrook AfterStars and SummerStars programs.  We are deeply saddened and will miss the opportunities to minister to those amazing students that we have come to love so much.   However, we are also grateful for the many lives that our wonderful team impacted with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ.
